Courtenay Simmons, CRNP
Courtenay has been a Family Nurse Practitioner in Huntsville since 2002. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Tennessee in 1995, then earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 1999. While working toward her Master of Science in Nursing degree at UAH, which she completed in December of 2001, she worked as a registered nurse in an intensive care unit at Huntsville Hospital.
In early 2002, she obtained her certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner and began working at Gleneagles Family Medicine, where she practiced for twelve years. She joined Dr. Kara Wallace in August 2014.
Courtenay has lived in the Huntsville area since 1997. She and her husband have three sons. Her boys are active in sports, and her family enjoys being active at Cove Methodist Church and spending free time outside with activities such as canoeing, hiking, and biking. Courtenay enjoys running, reading, and cooking.
