Anna Adams, CRNP
Anna is a licensed Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner. Prior to coming on board with the team at Dr Kara Wallace Family Practice, Anna started her nursing career at Auburn University and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2011 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. Anna worked as a Registered Nurse for four years in various hospital settings before graduating with honors from the University of Alabama in Birmingham's Family Nurse Practitioner program in August of 2015.
Anna's diverse work experience as an RN makes her a very well rounded Nurse Practitioner. An Emergency Trauma Center in Columbus, GA was her first nursing job and helped her learn a great deal about time management and emergency care. When the opportunity arose to work closer to her home in Auburn, Anna moved into her first ICU position at East Alabama Medical Center. Anna believes ICU was an incredible learning experience and taught her so much about pathology and disease progression. She moved to Huntsville in fall of 2012 and began working at the Madison Hospital in the Medical/Surgical ICU. Anna gained important leadership experience at Madison as she was chosen to be charge nurse and occasionally acted as house supervisor. Her most recent RN position was in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit at Women’s and Children’s hospital.
Anna is originally from Tennessee and was brought to the Huntsville area by her husband, Greg Adams, who is a Huntsville native. She enjoys spending time and traveling with her husband and is always up for outdoor activities. Her favorites include tennis, volleyball, and kayaking. She has a miniature poodle mix (Eva) and a cat (Stella) that she spoils like children.
